  • Solar Energy Workshop, Red Wing Public Schools

    In this hands-on training, educators will be going on a solar scavenger hunt, building solar fountains, and participating in a solar rover distance challenge. During these activities, educators will be learning about solar water pumping, power storage, and the variables that impact the efficiency of solar panels. Join us Saturday, September 23 from 9am-1pm.

  • Solar Rover Workshop at MN Energy Fair

    Stop by any time between 2-5:00 p.m. to learn how solar panel variables affect the type of terrain a rover can cover. Build custom tires, learning about friction, weight, and torque, in order to go the farthest distance. Then add rechargeable power storage, and watch your rover go in the sun or shade! (Children ages 5 and up)

  • Power Grid Kit Workshop at MN Energy Fair

    The Power Grid Kit is a functioning, electricity producing, load driven model, with metered hubs to display output. The Power Grid Kit is an engaging platform designed for applications in both formal and informal educational environments, and provides a hands-on exploration of core science concepts about energy consumption and generation. Join us at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 9.
